The University of Chicago announced that it admitted 6.2 percent of applicants to the Class of 2024.  

Applications totaled 34,400, slightly below the 34,648 applications received from the previous year.

In total, 3,542 applicants were admitted from a pool of 39,261 applications. The target size for the class is 1,975.

2,346 applicants were admitted from a total pool of 23,443 applications.  The target size of the class is 965 students.
